On a rather gloomy Monday morning, here's some red carpet glamour from last night's Golden Globe Awards (aka an excuse for me to post about my favourite dresses!)
Natalie Portman, winner of the Best Actress award for Black Swan, wearing a gorgeous blush pink gown by Viktor and Rolf.

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein- I adore the colour of this dress.

Leighton Meester, looking lovely in Burberry. This choice is slightly more casual than some of the other dresses we saw on the red carpet, but I think Leighton's look was one of the most effortless and sophisticated of the evening.

Mila Kunis, in a beautiful emerald green Vera Wang gown.

Anne Hathaway in Armani PrivĂ©, looking amazing as always.

Last year's Best Actress award winner, Sandra Bullock in an ethereal design by Jenny Packham.

I love this Elie Saab dress on Scarlett Johansson, particularly the exquisite butterfly sleeves and embellishment, but a smile would have made this look even better.

What were your favourite looks from the red carpet?

17.01.2011- Starry Starry Night

Before I toddle off to bed like the old lady in waiting I am, I just had to share with you these images of Anne Hathaway's editorial for the November Issue of US Vogue. Shot by Mario Testino and styled by Tonne Goodman, I think that Happily Ever After sees Anne channelling rather more than a touch of classic Audrey Hepburn...

The second to last shot especially has a very strong flavour of Breakfast At Tiffany's about it, don't you think? Regardless, I think she looks absolutely beautiful here; Mr. Testino certainly knows how to get the best out of his subjects. And I can't wait to see Anne in Love and Other Drugs at the end of the year (although I suspect the fact that the film co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal has something to do with this!)

What do you think of Anne's Vogue spread?

18.10.2010- Anne does Audrey

Here are my picks of last night's Costume Institute Gala Red Carpet:

Alexa Chung in Phillip Lim. I adore this look on Alexa, the bow detail really reminds me of a scene from Coco Before Chanel (if you've seen the film you probably know what I'm talking about.) Hair and makeup are styled to perfection, she looks effortlessly chic and really at ease here. Love!

Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein, clean, sophisticated and elegant, I really love her makeup here as well.

Chanel Iman in Michael Kors. I love the fact that Chanel chose to wear a jumpsuit rather than a gown, she looks radiant.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino, looking every inch the fairy tale princess.

Nicole Richie in Marc Jacobs, perfectly co-ordinated.

Kate Bosworth in Valentino, love the Jean Harlow-esque hairstyle, and the beaded detailing on the gown.

Kirsten Dunst in Rodarte for GAP; I am utterly in love with this dress.

Who stood out for you? Any I've missed? And who disappointed you?
